Case Study – Solar Power System Berwick, 4.59kWp Q Cells Schneider
The Electricity distributor, Ausnet, limited the solar power system to under 4.6kWp, so we opted to install 18 x QCells Q.Pro 255 W solar panels to comply with Ausnet regulations. The 4.59kWp solar power system was connected to a Schneider Conext grid connect inverter and connected via a Cat5 cable to the customers router for online monitoring via their personal computer.
The double storey installations was designed so that 8 panels were installed facing true north and a further 8 panels were installed facing true east. The system was configured with a dual MPPT tracking electrical kit using high grade Benedict and Jagar 1500V DC breakers, with stainless steel weather protection.
Solar Power System Configuration
The Green Power Company designed the 4.59kWp system to generate approximately 6500kWh per year, saving the customer approximately $1960 per year.
18 x QCells Q.Pro-G3-255W poly crystalline solar panels
1 x Schneider Conext RL5000E grid tied single phase, dual tracking inverter
1500V DC Benedict & Jagar isolators and enclosures
Green Power Company Solar Installation
GreenPower undertook the double storey split system solar panel installation over 2 days, using 5 men. We used our motorized solar panel lifters to get the panels on roof, and used cat5 cabling from the inverter to the router for easy system monitoring.
